Synopsis-
Sailor Moon is the story about a teenage (about 14) schoolgirl named Usagi Tsukino. Usagi is given items that reveal her forgotten past as a princess of the moon. These items help Usagi transform into Sailor Moon, fighting evil in the name of love and justice, (in the name of the moon). Sailor Moon is joined by other characters to form a team of sailor fuku (sailor like uniform with skirt and sailor top) wearing fighters.

Sailor Moon is considered to be a "magical girl" anime, referring to a transformation of the characters into a second identity that usually fights for a good cause.

Sailor Moon is a very popular series in both Japan and America, as well as in other countries throughout the world. It has grown originally from a comic series into a fully animated TV show, Movies, Games, Manga and a lot of merchandise.

Character Guide-
Usagi Tsukino - Sailor Moon - A 14 year old school girl whom uses the power of the moon to fight for justice. Leader of a group of girls whom fight together. Clumsy and Whiny.

Ami Mizuno - Sailor Mercury - Also 14 and a school girl, uses the power of Mercury (water and ice) and fights along side of her friends. Quiet, shy and softspoken.

Rei Hino - Sailor Mars - 14 years old as well, living at a shrine and going to school. Rei uses the power of mars (fire) to fight with her friends.

Makoto Kino - Sailor Jupiter - 14 years old, a really good cook. Makoto uses the power of Jupiter (lightning) to fight the bad guys.

Minako Aino - Sailor Venus - Also 14 years old, uses the power of Venus (love and beauty) to fight with, and is the friendliest out of all her friends.

Chibi Usagi (Chibiusa) - Sailor Chibi (Mini) Moon - Chibiusa is actually from the future, she travels back in time to request help from the sailor scouts in defeating a great enemy. She is stubborn, clumsy and whiny, sort of like Usagi.

Luna, Diana and Artemis - Cats that guard and guide Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus. Luna reveals Usagi's powers to her. Diana is the daughter of Luna and Artemis, and travels back in time with Chibiusa.

Mamoru Chiba - tuxedo mask and also the white knight - Mamoru is a friend to the sailor scouts, especially Usagi (whom adores him). As tuxedo mask and the moonlight knight, he helps out the sailor scouts in tough times with his cane and rose attacks. Sometimes he has romantic encounters with Sailor Moon.
