In Fall 2007, Lakewood residents were invited to submit images of “Lakewood, the life, icons and times” for a photography competition sponsored by the Lakewood Public Library Foundation. Winning photographers received an honorarium and were recognized at a reception at the Library on Sunday, January 20, 2008. Works selected to become part of the art collection of the Library are displayed in the Community Gallery (north and south lobbies).
