PHILOSOPHY, VALUES & OUR COMMUNITY
Be a philosopher for a day! Engage in a Socratic dialogue with your fellow Library patrons. Gain self-knowledge and mutual understanding as we clarify our values and collaborate to answer a big question. Our first dialogue will seek to answer the question, "What is fellowship?" The second will ask, "What is unity?" We will seek to think collectively and discover what we have in common by exploring our experiences. These important values are rarely discussed, but through these dialogues can be carefully investigated together in community. Finally we will convene for a third dialogue to discuss how unity and fellowship are in applied in our community of Lakewood.
Saturdays March 22, April 5 and April 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
LAKEWOOD PUBLIC CINEMA: STARDUST MEMORIES (1980)
Directed by Woody Allen and rated PG. Woody Allen plays a serious film director, stuck at a retrospective of his past hits with fans who wonder why he doesn't do comedy anymore. Charlotte Rampling co-stars as one of the most beautiful women ever put on film. It's a comedy, but is it his most serious and meaningful film as well?
New Time! 6:00 p.m. in the New Main Library Auditorium
Lakewood Public Library 15425 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, OH 44107 216.226.8275
