FIVE STAR FILMS: NIGHT OF THE HUNTER (1955)
Directed by Charles Laughton NR. Based upon a true story that happened in 1935 West Virginia. The incomparable Lillian Gish , Robert Mitchum and exquisite cinematography make this noir masterwork a moviegoing night to remember. The film was deemed by the Library of Congress to be "socially significant." Nobody could play evil like Mitchum.
