BARBARA HACHA
Line by Line: A Novel
As the Great Depression deepens and her family falls apart, Maddy Skobel flees her central Ohio home by freight train, determined to make her own way in the world. She faces hardship and danger at every turn and discovers her own strength and resourcefulness while learning to survive as a wandering hobo. Through these young eyes, Line by Line explores larger themes that resonate loudly in our times: coming of age in the midst of economic devastation, eroding trust in government and the life-shaping influence of family-whether it be the one we're born into or the one we choose with the people who surround us. This page-turning novel draws powerful lessons from the past even as it entertains with a gripping, unstoppable narrative. Books will be available for sale and signing at the event.

SCOTT LONGERT
Addie Joss: King of the Pitchers
The great Addie Joss lived and died before Ty Cobb's career was even a quarter over, before George Ruth became the Babe, before the Snodgrass muff, before the miracle Braves and before newsreel cameras could capture what made him a legend. Fortunately, we have this book, meticulously researched and masterfully told, to take us back to the dawn of the 20th century for some of the greatest baseball ever played. Joss played his entire career in a Cleveland uniform, setting astonishing records that stand today and making a reputation for himself as a fine man and a fierce competitor. This long-overdue biography reminds us a time long-gone, a way of life and a game we love as it once was played. Books will be available for sale and signing at the event.
