_____ Step riser height: Maximum rise is 8-1/4 inches, all riser heights to be equal.
_____ Size of stair tread: Minimum dimension is 9 inches
_____ Size and spacing of 3^rd floor joists.
_____ Span of floor joists (load bearing to load bearing)
_____ Ceiling height of 3^rd floor - 7’ (for 50% of the room) is required.
_____ Location of heat and type.
_____ Dimensions of all windows.
_____ Window area must equal 10% of floor space - 50% of window area must open.
           Minimum opening: 5.7 sq. ft.
           Minimum height: 24"
           Minimum width: 20"
_____ Electrical per the current National Electrical Code
_____ Plumbing (if applicable) show sizes and where it is to be tied into existing.
_____ 2 Family dwelling units - 2^nd floor must be contiguous with 3^rd floor.
