Inspections When are inspections required? It shall be the responsibility of the permit holder to call for all required rough-in and final inspections. Review the inspection steps with the person assigning the permit. Whenever an inspection has been requested and work is found to be incomplete or in need of correction(s), there shall be a $50.00 re-inspection fee imposed.
Electrical requirements
1-, 2-, & 3-Family only
I want to perform electrical work in Lakewood. What do I need to do or have? A copy of your city, county or State of Ohio ELECTRICAL License, acceptable to the Building Department, must accompany your application for a Lakewood Electrical registration. If you do not have an acceptable license, you may take our exam. The exam is given on Tuesday & Thursday at 8:30 A.M. Call 216-529-6270 for a test date prior to the exam date. The test is based on the current National Electrical Code. The 25 question test is limited to 2 hours. Cost = $100.00
