ANSWER |

have to rebuild a new one? |

Your garage (and any other accessory buildings
in the rear yard area) can occupy up to 25% of your rear yard area. To determine
your rear yard area do the following:
- Measure from the back of your house to the rear property line.
- Measure the width of your property.
- Multiply the 2 numbers together.
- Subtract the square footage of any protrusions or porches that may
be on the rear of your house.
- Multiply that figure times 25%
- This number is the maximum size garage that you can build without
having to seek a zoning variance.
- Bring this information and a plot plan into the Building Department.
