NOTICE OF MEETING – FINANCE COMMITTEE

The Finance Committee will meet Monday, May 12, 2008, at 5:45 PM in the Jury Room of Lakewood City Hall, 12650 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio to discuss the following:

• Communication from Finance Director Pae regarding Suspension of 149.07 Longevity Payments (For non-bargaining employees).

• ORDINANCE NO. 49-08 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, suspending the employment benefits granted in Section 149.07, Longevity Compensation, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood for the remaining of the 2008 calendar year. NOTICE OF MEETING – RULES & ORDINANCES COMMITTEE

There will be a Rules & Ordinances Committee Meeting Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 8:15 a.m. in the Council Conference Room of Lakewood City Hall, 12650 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. The following topic will be discussed:

Communication from Councilmembers Demro(*) and Madigan regarding placing a Charter amendment on the ballot to change the date of the Lakewood Primary (coinciding with surrounding primary dates) to reduce costs, the need for Special Elections and increase efficiency. *Items referred to Committee from a previous Council remain active if they are less than six months at the time of a new Council term.
