| PURPOSE
An individual making a bequest is recognized by being designated as a Lakewood Library Foundation Future Associate. A list of the names of Future Associates (excluding those who wish to remain anonymous) is displayed publicly in the Library. The list is also published from time to time by the Foundation. |
||
| How
Do I Become a Future Associate?
Simply by making a bequest in your will. Your attorney can help you accomplish this. The bequest can be stated as a specific amount or expressed as a percentage of your estate. There is no minimum amount required to become a Future Associate. Your attorney can notify the Lakewood Library Foundation of the bequest, or you can submit a copy of the bequest to the Foundation for its records. |
How
Will My Bequest Be Used?
Your bequest will be used to help support the Foundation’s work. This means that it can be used to purchase new books and computer equipment, or for any other purpose identified by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. If you desire, you may restrict the use of your bequest to funding the renovation, construction, or acquisition of Library buildings and real property. |
