About Us

Did you know that Lakewood Baptist Church established Lakewood Baptist Nursery School in 1953? Our program has grown and changed over the years to continue to meet the needs of the families we serve.

The director of the programs, Marilyn Hallenburg, has served as director of the facility since 1987.

The Lakewood Baptist Child Development Center is also a fully licensed facility and is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs.

All of the classes are run by educated teachers who have all attended college courses. Some of them are degreed in areas such as Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and Communications.

Mission Statement

The primary mission of Lakewood Baptist Child Development Center is to create a warm nurturing environment for children, parents and our staff. We are aware that a child's love for learning will be influenced by their experiences in the early years.

With that belief, we commit ourselves to providing stimulating activities, which will assist in the child's developmental process.

Program Information

Enrichment Classes

• Enrichment classes are available for potty trained children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 5.
• Bus service is available within Lakewood.
• Special Needs can be accommodated depending on the discount for siblings.
• Open Door Policy for Families. Visitors are requested to make an appointment.

Childcare

• Full-time childcare is available for children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 12.
• Hours of Operation - Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 6:00pm
• The childcare programs are open open year - round.
• Summer Camp runs during the summer for all programs. Children enjoy field trips along with weekly trips to area parks.

Registration Fee - $50
The registration fee is non refundable. Only one registration fee per family.

2 Day Preschool Enrichment Class - $65 / month
Monday & Tuesday - 9:00 to 11:30 am
Ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years old.

3 Day Preschool Enrichment Class - $92 / month
Monday & Tuesday - 9:00 to 11:30
For 3 year olds.

4 Day Preschool Enrichment Class - $ 114 / month
Monday & Tuesday - 9:00 to 11:30
4 year old children.

• Fees affective August 1, 2004
• The registration and Field Trip Fees are needed in order to hold a child's spot for the summer program.
• The $50 Registration and Fee and 1 week deposit is needed to hold a spot for the upcoming school year.

Kindergarten - $130 / week
It includes before and after school care along with breakfast and bus

Grade - School - $90 / week
Includes breakfast and bus transportation to school along with breakfast and bus.

Before School Care Only - $50 / week
Includes breakfast and bus transportation to school.

All Day Care - $ 130 / week
School Vacation days and summer camp.
