Registration for our programs for the Summer and the 2004-2005 School Year begins on Monday, January 19th, 2004. In order to assure a place for the upcoming school, you need to:

  1. Read the information on the other side of this sheet describing each one of the programs and consider your child’s needs for next year.
  2. Fill out the Registration Form.
  3. Return the Registration Form along with the $50.00 Registration Fee to Marilyn Hallenburg by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6th. Only 1 Registration Fee per family is due.

Registration shows intent. We will hold a place for your child once you have sent in the Registration Form and the Non-Refundable Registration Fee of $50.00. Enrollment Packets will be sent out in April. Please let us know if your plans change at any time before enrollment forms are sent out. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 7am to 5:30pm.

Due to limited bus seating, our kindergarten and school age summer programs are filled on a first come/ first serve basis. Anyone interested in either of these programs is encouraged to respond quickly.

All of our programs follow Developmentally Appropriate Practices in their Curriculum as set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our Enrichment Programs are described on the other side of this Registration Form.

Please note the recommended ages for each of our programs. Please remember that September 1, 2005 as the cut-off date for recommended ages for each class. If you have a question about the best class for your child, please contact Marilyn Hallenburg.

Also available at Lakewood Baptist is a School-Age Program for children who attend Lakewood Public and Parochial Schools from Kindergarten through 5th Grade.

ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR

Age group explanation: Children are assigned to an age group according to their age on September 1, 2005 (i.e. a child who will be four in November is considered a three-year old in class assignment because of the timing of his Kindergarten entrance).


PRE-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS– THREE YEAR OLDS

ENRICHMENT CLASSES – are available to all children 2 1/2 to 4 years of age. The Curriculum Goals for the three-year old classes are to provide a safe and healthy environment in which children are able to build positive self-concepts and individual strengths. We strive to provide opportunities to grow physically and intellectually through individual and positive group learning experiences. Young children develop as unique individuals in an emotionally secure and stimulating environment. We strive to meet that need so they may begin exploring the world around them.

The three-year old classes that are available are:

FULL-TIME CLASSES – are available from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. Enrichment program is available from 9:00-11:30 daily.

MORNING CLASSES– are available from 9:00 am to 11:30 pm on the following days:

Two half days (Meets Monday and Tuesday Mornings)
Three half days (Meets Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Mornings)


PRE-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS – FOUR YEAR OLDS

ENRICHMENT CLASSES– are available to all children 4 to 5 years of age. The Curriculum Goals for the for the Four-Year Old Room are to prepare the child for Kindergarten by providing a safe, healthy, emotionally secure and stimulating environment in which to explore his/her world. The Four-Year Old Class provides opportunities to advance his/her physical and intellectual growth, and to build a positive self-concept.

The four-year old classes that are available are:

FULL-TIME CLASSES –are available from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. The enrichment program is from 9:00-11:30 daily.

MORNING CLASSES – are available as follows:
Four mornings (Meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Mornings 9:00-11:30).


SCHOOL-AGE PROGRAM– KINDERGARTEN TO FIFTH GRADE

The SCHOOL-AGE Program at Lakewood Baptist is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. It is open to all children who attend morning kindergarten through fifth grade in the Lakewood Public and Parochial Schools. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided.

The Curriculum Goals for the School-Age Rooms are to provide our children with a safe and healthy environment, and to provide opportunities to advance their physical and intellectual growth and to provide good self-help skills. We also encourage the learning of the three R's: Respect, Responsibility, and Reasoning.
