Who we are:

Lakewood Community Care Center is a private, non-profit, licensed day-care center. The center is licensed by the State of Ohio, Department of Human Services, and The Day Care Licensing Department. We are licensed to serve 100 children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age. The center's license will be posted in the director’s office.

Vision Statement:

We aim to rise above the ordinary by developing educational experiences which can alter the lives of parents, children and staff.  We strive to be the best by encouraging a partnership between the parents and the staff as well as the staff and the community.  

Mission Statement:

To provide a safe and motivating environment for children to interact with and learn from each other.  To give children educational offerings that provides positive, fun learning opportunities.  To provide a creative and rewarding work environment for our employees.  To reinforce the direction of the parents and help them prepare their children for life.

Our Philosophy:

Lakewood Community Care Center's early childhood program represents the community's commitment to quality, affordable child-care services. Parents who live or work in the West Shore area are welcome to enroll their children in the program.

Lakewood Community Care Center will provide children with a foundation for learning and with safe environment, which meets the developmental needs of young children.

Further, the program will provide an opportunity for intergenerational experiences.

Our Goals

The goals of Lakewood Community Care Center are:

• Recognize and value each child as an individual
• Enable and empower each child to develop a strong sense of self
• Provide holistic curriculum which helps to develop each child physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually
• Offer each family personalized support and assistance
• Provide intergenerational activities and sharing to benefit both the children and our intergenerational volunteers
