NOTICE OF MEETING

FINANCE COMMITTEE

The Finance Committee will meet Monday, November 3, 2008,  at 6:00 PM in the Jury Room of Lakewood City Hall, 12650 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio to discuss the following:

• PROPOSED ORDINANCE   65-08   Establishing fees for reservation of Picnic Pavilions by permit(1st Read 7/7/08, 2nd 7/21/08, deferred 10/20/08 – SUBSTITUTION FOR 11/3/08 COUNCIL MEETING)

• PROPOSED ORDINANCE  66-08    Fees for City Property Use (1st Read 7/7/08, 2nd 7/21/08, deferred 10/20/08, SUBSTITUTION FOR 11/3/08 COUNCIL MEETING)

• PROPOSED ORDINANCE  67-08    Repeal 1978 Fee Schedule (1st Read 7/7/08, 2nd 7/21/08, deferred 10/20/08)

• Communication from Law Director Hurley regarding Fees & Permitting for Use of Picnic Pavilions. (2 New Companion Legislation)

• ORDINANCE NO. 86-08- establishing fees for use of picnic pavilions by permit. (On 11/3/08 Council agenda)

• ORDINANCE NO. 87-08 -  removing the reference to specific picnic pavilions and to remain consistent with Section 905.15, Picnic Areas; Permit for use of Picnic Pavilions.  (On 11/3/08 Council Agenda

• ORDINANCE NO.  98-07F  - Increasing Contracting Authority ($24,000 to $34,000) for “Roll-Off Box” used for Construction Debris  in the Division of Refuse and Recycling.    This Amends Ordinance 98-07D, adopted September 15, 2008   (Item is on Council Meeting Agenda 11/3/08)

The Committee of the Whole will meet Monday, November 3,  2008 at 6:30 PM in the Jury Room of Lakewood City Hall at 12650 Detroit Avenue.   The items for discussion are as follows:

1. Planning Commission Report regarding Recommending Adoption of Detroit Avenue Streetscape Plan into the Lakewood Community Vision (Referred to the Committee of the Whole at the 6/16/08 Council Meeting)
 
2. Communication from Law Director Hurley regarding Acceptance of Landscaping Funds from AT&T & Corresponding Legislation:
PROPOSED RESOLUTION NO. 8303-08   AT&T Landscaping - $1,000 per lightspeed box (Referred to the Committee of the Whole  at the 10/20/08 Council Meeting)

3. RESOLUTION NO.  8291-08 - A  RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it received the affirmative vote of at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, to appoint  _________________ as a  member of the Animal Safety and Welfare Advisory Board for a two-year term, ending December 31, 2010. (DEFERRED 10/6/08)
