Save The Children brings us the 2012 report on the State of the World's Mothers. Every year, they remind us of the link between the well-being of mothers and their children. When mothers have health care, education and economic oportunity, both they and their children have the best chance to survive and thrive.

Lakewood Library now offers NoveList for adults and NoveList K-8 Plus for children and families. These sites are great tools help people find good fiction and nonfiction based on topic, setting, style or other books they have enjoyed. Huffpost Parents, part of The Huffington Post Internet Newspaper, brings together bloggers from diverse fields such as medicine, family therapy, acting, technology, journalism, religion and modeling to write opinion pieces on many aspects of parenting.
