CARL BOBBISH

Carl Bobbish, pianist, is from Detroit, Michigan. His piano studies began at an early age in private schools that he attended in St. Louis, Missouri, and at the Institute of Music in Detroit. In 1949 he entered the Oberlin Conservatory of Music from which he now holds a Bachelor of Music in piano with John Elvin, head of the Piano Department. He was pianist for three years for the Oberlin Woodwind Ensemble accompanying them on their tours—and playing with this group in February, 1953 on this concert series. Mr. Bobbish is presently a member of the piano faculty of the studio in Rocky River, and is working toward a Master’s Degree in piano at Oberlin.
