ALBERT MICHELSON
Albert Michelson, cellist of the Cleveland Orchestra, came to the United States from France in 1946 and five years later received his American citizenship. He has given many recitals in Cleveland, and has appeared as soloist with the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. Mr. Michelson is also a member of the Chautauqua Summer Symphony Orchestra. He has made numerous radio appearances.
He received his musical training in France, obtaining First Prize at the Conservatoire de Toulouse. Later he studied with Gaspar Cassado and Pablo Casals. Before coming to Cleveland he was principal cellist with the Monte Carlo Symphony under the direction of Paul Paray.
